Donna Howell-Sickles

 

 

Her work is energetic, colorful and portrays the fun side of the cowgirl. Donna Howell Sickles exhibit was on display during Western Spirit Celebration in the fall of 2010. The show was held in the Garis Gallery of the American West. In 2007, Sickles was inducted into the National Cowgirl Museum & Hall of Fame. Donna was inspired by a vintage 1930s postcard. During her career, she has gained a following of fans and collectors of her work. She continues to exhibit at museums and galleries around the country. She also has a gallery in Saint Jo, Texas.

Her work has also been published in “Cowgirl Rising: The Art of Donna Howell Sickles:” a book with full color photographs, stories and folklore. It is written by Peg Streep.
