Trail Talk on Wednesday, June 29, is a seasonal episode…it’s all about Fireworks! The 4th of July is just around the corner, so why not learn about the history of fireworks, how they work and some safety tips to make your celebration fun and safe! Then on Thursday, June 30 episode of Trail Talk Edie’s guest will be former Duncanite who has gone on to leave his mark on the world, J. Brett McClain, PhD, Assistant Director/Research Associate Epigraphic Survey, Oriental Institute, The University of Chicago. He grew up in Duncan; his mother was a 5th-grade teacher at Horace Mann. His father worked as an accountant for Halliburton, and when he was a junior in high school their family was sent to Cairo, Egypt for a one-year posting. The rest, as they say, is history…no pun intended. You can hear the rest of the story by tuning in at 3 p.m. on Facebook Live or on Zoom by following the link below.
Unless otherwise noted, all programs will begin at 3 p.m. CDT, and we add the Zoom link and passwords here. Links go live about 2:50 p.m. CDT, and you can watch the Facebook Live feed at any time.
