Recollections of Laban Samuel Records (1856-1940), a freighter on the Santa Fe Trail, cowpuncher in Dodge City Stockyards and a cook for the Osage Agency at Pawhuska, and line rider for the T-5 and Spade Ranches, then foreman in the Cherokee Outlet. This book is an account of his everyday life as a cowboy in the Outlet and exciting frontier life stories, including an escape from a raid by Dull Knife and his Cheyenne warriors.
