Chisholm Trail Heritage Center closes to the public because of COVID-19 pandemic

DUNCAN, Okla. – We are temporarily closing the Chisholm Trail Heritage Center to the public for the safety and well being of our guests and staff. This change takes place starting Wednesday, March 25. We will update our website and social media as things change.

Earlier this month, we decided to postpone the Center’s new event, Cowboys and Cobbler Throwdown, that was originally scheduled for April 4. We will re-schedule as soon as we can. All public activities, including school tours and field trips, are currently on hold until it is safe to re-open.

For information, contact the Heritage Center at (580) 252-6692. Visit our social media pages, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter while we are closed.

How the Chisholm Trail Heritage Center is responding to the Coronavirus (COVID-19)

At this time, we will continue to remain open to the public. Here at the Chisholm Trail Heritage Center, we work hard to ensure the well-being of our staff, daily visitors, and members. Your safety is our top priority.

Ensuring the cleanliness of our facility involves all staff and is a regular daily practice.

We have increased our daily cleaning practices with an emphasis on frequent sanitizing throughout the day and after groups of guests visit.

We understand that everyone has concerns regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19). Our practices include following the guidelines as set forth by  the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Oklahoma State Department of Health, and from the Association of Children’s Museums.

We will continue to update you here if anything changes.
