Meet the Artists Reception 4-6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, 2018

Tiger Art, The Legacy Lives On will feature the artwork of Dana Tiger and her adult children, Christie Tiger and Coleman Tiger Blair – the daughter and grandchildren of Oklahoma artist, Jerome Tiger (1941-1967). Jerome Tiger’s work is part of the Garis Gallery of the American West collection. Art is available to purchase.

This exhibit is covered in regular admission.

Join us to welcome the artists of the Tiger family – Dana Tiger and her children, Christie Tiger and Coleman Tiger Blair, for a reception in their honor. They are the descendants of Jerome Tiger.
Tiger Art: The Legacy Lives On, features their work and that of Jerome Tiger, Dana’s father. Jerome’s work is part of the Garis Gallery of the American West collection.

Explore the national traveling exhibit, American Farmer, by celebrity photographer, Paul Mobley.
This will also be the Chisholm Trail Heritage Center’s holiday party, as we recognize our 20th year anniversary!

Please join the Board of Directors, staff and volunteers of the Heritage Center for a celebration of a year of accomplishments, sharing of good cheer and the unveiling of new exhibits.

All are welcome for music, refreshments and comradery. This is also a great time to visit our gift shop and see our upgraded Duncan Store exhibit!

Sandy Magrath: Dogs of the Southwest

Magrath reception postcard

Inspired by the designs of pottery and blankets of the southwest, Sandy Magrath paints “happy dog art!” Large canvases and bright acrylic paints provide her with the tools she needs to create these works of fun art. Dogs with goofy personalities are the inspiration for Magrath, a Norman, Oklahoma artist. Exhibit is open daily May 1 to June 30, 2019. A meet the artist reception is 3:30-6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 9 at the Chisholm Trail Heritage Center.
