Tiger Art, The Legacy Lives On will feature the artwork of Dana Tiger and her adult children, Christie Tiger and Coleman Tiger Blair – the daughter and grandchildren of Oklahoma artist, Jerome Tiger (1941-1967). Jerome Tiger’s work is part of the Garis Gallery of the American West collection. Art is available to purchase.

Inspired by the designs of pottery and blankets of the southwest, Sandy Magrath paints “happy dog art!” Large canvases and bright acrylic paints provide her with the tools she needs to create these works of fun art. Dogs with goofy personalities are the inspiration for Magrath, a Norman, Oklahoma artist. Exhibit is open daily May 1 to June 30, 2019. A meet the artist reception is 3:30-6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 9 at the Chisholm Trail Heritage Center.

This nationally touring exhibit explores the significance of the bison from pre-history, to their relationship with the Plains Indians, near extinction, and current iconic status. As you visit this exhibit, you explore the significance of bison in the cultures of Plains Indian peoples – particularly as a resource for food, clothing, shelter and tools.
