Postcard: Chisholm Trail Map Opening the Way

Backside description: The Chisholm Trail. The most famous of all the old cattle trails, it was in primary use from 1867 to 1884. An estimated 4 1/2 million cattle traveled its length. From the late 1870s until about 1889, as settlement moved further west, the cattle trail also began to move west. An additional 5 1/2 million cattle moved up the western variants by the time the trails were closed.
