An Oklahoma artist shaped by hoofbeats, flight paths, and the quiet pull of the prairie. “I create mixed-media works where animal totems lead the way. Horses, birds, and the weathered stories of the West gather in my drawings like old friends – part memory, part myth, part map of where the land keeps calling me.” – Jennifer Hustis

“I’m drawn to the grain, knots, and burls – the stories inside every fallen Oklahoma tree. I work only with wood that has lived its life and come down through fire, lightning, wind, or ice, giving it a new beginning. Each species brings its own surprise. Kinetic sculpture and the dance of steam-bent wood are where I feel most at home.” – Mark Hustis

I create one-of-a-kind ceramic pieces on the wheel, from small sake cups to large statement vases. My forms begin with Asian influences, then shift into my own style through subtle changes and expressive surfaces. I choose glazes for their texture and unpredictability, letting each piece develop its own character. Fired in atmospheric kilns, the work carries the marks of flame, process, and intention. At the heart of my practice is a curiosity about how a vessel can be both functional and sculptural, guided by clean lines, thoughtful proportions, and the honesty of handmade work. – Will Mantor
